B.J. Huchtemann - UNO Television
B.J. Huchtemann is a staff producer / director for UNO Television and was the lead producer, editor and writer for this new documentary, shaping the story and structure of the program. She conducted the many interviews that help tell the story. She also shot contemporary video scenes for the documentary. Huchtemann has been at UNO since 2000. She also produces "Homework Hotline," a weekly, live, call-in math homework program for elementary school children. She has been working as a producer, director, writer, videographer and editor since 1985. Huchtemann's work for the commercial television sector includes television commercial production for numerous clients and advertising agencies. During eight years at Pappas Telecasting, Huchtemann advanced from staff writer-producer at Omaha's independent television station KPTM 42 to the commercial production manager position there. She was the producer responsible for creative, visual, musical and technical elements in the sign-on of KPTM's sister station KXVO WB 15. She also worked for two years as a writer-producer at Kahler & Co. advertising agency before coming to UNO. As a writer, Huchtemann has written commercials and short- and long-form videos. Her expertise in storytelling, interviewing and research is also nationally recognized through her work as a music journalist. She has researched and interviewed numerous national artists in the roots-blues genre. Her work has been seen in Blues Access magazine, as well as the Musichound Guide books for the Blues, Jazz and Swing genres. Her Hoodoo Blues column is found in each issue of the Reader, a weekly newspaper serving Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska. She has been a contributing writer for the Reader since 1995.

Carl Milone - UNO Television
Carl Milone is a Producer / Director for UNO Television and co-producer of the documentary. Carl served as producer, editor and lead visuals researcher for Omaha Since WWII, working closely with the various local and state archives to research and locate all the images that fill the program. Carl also was the primary videographer for interviews and contemporary images of the city. Prior to joining UNO Television in 1996 he was the Unit Director for the Cultural Affairs Unit at the Nebraska ETV Network. Milone was producer/director for two UNO Television documentaries St. Cecilia's - A Cathedral for the Ages and Return to the Cave of Letters. Throughout his career in public broadcasting he has been involved in a number of historical and cultural documentaries that have been broadcast nationwide; most notably, In Search of the Oregon Trail, where Milone served as the primary visual researcher. Milone has 15 years' experience in both still photography and video.

Gary Repair - UNO Television
Gary Repair is presently the Executive Producer for UNO Television. He has over 20 years of public broadcasting experience. Repair supervised the overall progress of the new program and assisted with visuals research and shooting. Repair has served as the producer, director and writer of two successful historical documentaries on the history and culture of Nebraska: The WAR Comes to Nebraska and Restoring the Vision. The WAR Comes to Nebraska explores the significant contributions made by the men and women of Nebraska in the effort to win World War II. Restoring the Vision documents the history of Omaha's park systems and community efforts to restore the parks following a devastating snowstorm in October 1997. His most recent production was a one-hour documentary, The Road to Morocco, which follows 70 Americans involved in muti-religious dialogue during a two-week tour of Morocco in 2000.

Mark Dail - UNO Television
Mark Dail is Production Coordinator for UNO Television. Mark served as the primary videographer for the city aerial footage shot for Omaha Since WWII. As Production Coordinator at UNO he is responsible for training 18 student crew members each year. Dail was videographer for The Road to Morocco. He also served as videographer for St. Cecilia's - A Cathedral for the Ages. Before joining UNO Television, Dail worked for 12 years at Nebraska ETV. He received a promotions award from the Public Broadcasting Service for his videography on a commercial for University of Nebraska at Lincoln baseball.

Brian Shaffer - UNO Television
Brian Shaffer has worked as UNO Television's editor since 1993 after being a member of the UNO-TV student crew since 1988. He began his career as UNO-TV's editor with If These Walls Could Speak..." and has edited and provided technical and artistic support for the eight other documentaries produced by UNO Television since his start. Shaffer created the opening sequence for Omaha Since WWII, repaired and fine-tuned all the still visuals and created the motion graphics. He provides technical support and graphics for the organization's other programs as well as related promotional materials. Shaffer also creates graphics and serves as webmaster for the UNO Television Web site.
