Show #813 Original Air Date: January 7th, 2005 The record corn harvest in Nebraska last year yielded record production of ethanol. It was a shot in the arm for an economy coming out of the doldrums. But what is on the horizon? This week on "Consider This...", host Carol Schrader talks with three of the many people who are working to make sure ethanol's future is bright. Todd Sneller is Administrator of the Nebraska Ethanol Board and Steve Sorum is the board's Project Manager. David Hallberg is a member of the Ethanol Board as well as Chairman and CEO of PRIME Technologies, a company developing new ethanol technology. All are involved in ethanol issues on both national and international levels. All three consider ethanol's position in and revamping of federal energy policy crucial to its future as an economic pedestal for farm states and the quest for diminished reliance on fossil fuels. A new energy bill is a priority of the Bush Administration. Questions or Comments about Consider This... ? We'd like to hear from you!
